A wife finds a note from her husband on the fridge, where he explains that due to his needs not being met by her, at 57 years old, he’ll be spending the evening with his 19-year-old secretary at the Comfort Inn. He reassures her that he values her as a wife and will return before midnight.
When the husband arrives home late that night, he finds a note from his wife on the dining table. In her reply, she acknowledges his honesty about her age but reminds him that he is also 57. As a math teacher, she explains that she will be at the Hotel Fiesta with Michael, one of her 19-year-old students and assistant tennis coach. She points out the mathematical difference between their situations: 19 goes into 57 more times than 57 goes into 19. She concludes that, just like him, she won’t be home until sometime the next day.
